Fall Conference set for Salem, October 27-29, 2010
Each year the
Oregon State Chamber of Commerce hosts a dynamic three-day professional
conference delivering information, training and networking to its members. The
OSCC Annual Leadership Conference, set for October 27, 28 and 29 at
the Salem
Convention Center and Grand
Hotel in Salem,
provides chamber professionals in Oregon the opportunity to enhance their
knowledge, skills, connections and confidence to effectively lead and inspire
the Chamber and business community for the future. The 2010
Conference will include:

How to Strive and Thrive Out of This Recession –
with Barry Moltz. Wednesday afternoon
keynote speaker Barry Moltz gets businesses and organizations growing again by
unlocking their overlooked potential. He has decades of entrepreneurial
experience in his own business ventures and consulting for other entrepreneurs,
and is author of books including “You Need to Be A Little Crazy: The
Truth about Starting and Growing Your Business” and “BAM!
Delivering Customer Service in a Self-Service World.” Hear about his
simple, strategic steps that help businesses thrive, even in difficult times.
¶ Vintage,
Virtual and Visionary Volunteers -
with Steve Swafford – Steve Swafford, Balance Warrior, has
worked for more than 20 years for and with organizations in areas of leadership
development, communication, membership and executive management. A member of the
US Chamber Institute faculty, Steve’s presentation will examine leadership and
succession programs in nonprofit organizations through strategic volunteer
management.
¶ Breakout
sessions featuring presentations on Social Media, Navigating Transit
Room Tax Issues and Best Practices in Email
Marketing for Entrepreneurs, Chambers, and Small Business.
¶ A
special luncheon presentation on Thursday, Building
a Business Voice in Oregon will
feature perspectives on effective statewide advocacy from a panel of Oregon’s
business leaders including insights into the performance of the state’s
economy.
¶ The
OSCC Annual Banquet and
Awards featuring the William R. Haas
Executive of the Year, OSCC Publications Awards, the Chamber Achievement Awards
and more.
